Stephen Hendricks

Stephen Hendricks is a full time marching band, indoor percussion, and winter guard show designer and composer living in Dallas, GA. Mr. Hendricks received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia and his Master’s Degree in Music Education from Florida State University. At 27 years old, Hendricks has already designed for and taught some of the top drum corps and high school marching ensembles in the country.

 

After graduating from the University of Georgia, Mr. Stephen Hendricks served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Richmond Hill High School in Richmond Hill, GA. Under his leadership, his bands received consistently high honors at marching competitions, including winning the visual captions at every contest, and never finishing lower than 2nd in any caption while associated with the program.

 

Mr. Hendricks is currently the director of bands at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA. From 2005-2008, he served on the faculty of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Hendricks is an equal partner of Countermotion Inc, a custom show design company based out of Dallas, GA. To date, he has designed over 300 of shows for various successful band programs across the United States, including several bands that place regularly in the Bands of America events. He is also an in-demand marching band consultant as well as a frequent contest adjudicator. His professional affiliations include the National Band Association, the National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association and the Florida Bandmasters Association.
